Bayer CropScience and KeyGene Collaborate to Create New Traits in Canola Hybrids

Bayer CropScience and biotechnology company KeyGene (Wageningen, the Netherlands), have concluded an exclusive trait development agreement that will combine their expertise in the fields of protoplast technology and targeted molecular mutagenesis to create novel traits for crop improvement. Financial details were not disclosed. The collaboration will initially focus on the use of KeyGene's proprietary KeyBase methodology to develop innovative traits for new canola varieties.
