Amvac posts 10% profit gain

American Vanguard (Amvac) reports third-quarter net income increased 9.9% year-over-year (YOY), to $8.9 million, on stronger sales of crop protection products. Sales increased 8.2% YOY. "Our quarterly results benefited from strong sales of Bidrin, Thimet and our Force corn soil insecticide in Smartbox," says Eric Wintemute, chairman and CEO.
