Agrium Buys Argentine Retail Farm Outlets

Agrium has purchased 24 retail farm outlets from DuPont Crop Protection, the company announced today. It has also purchased DuPont's crop protection formulation facility in Casilda, Argentina. Though the size of the deal was not disclosed, Agrium expects $57 million in annual revenues from the retail outlets. The formulation facility is involved in making herbicides, insecticides and fungicides for the Argentine farm market. It also provides toll manufacturing for third party companies.
