U.S. Demand for Pesticides to Grow 2.6%/Year Through 2016

Demand for formulated pesticide products in the U.S. is expected to increase 2.6%/year, to $12.1 billion in 2016, according to a recent study by the U.S. industry market research firm, The Freedonia Group (Cleveland, OH). Active ingredients demand is forecast to grow 1.4%/year, during the same period, to 945 million lbs with a value of $4.8 billion, and the pricing climate will "continue to stabilize," Freedonia says.
