Ticona to Cut 100 Jobs

Ticona, the engineering plastics subsidiary of Celanese, say it will stop producing polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) and polyester polymers and lay off about 100 employees at its Shelby, NC plant by October 1 due to poor market conditions and declining demand.
