Eastman Boosts Copolyester Capacity

Eastman Chemical says it will open its second U.S. specialty copolyester plant at Columbia, SC in the first half of 2008. The company currently makes specialty copolyester at Kingsport, TN. “When this new capacity comes online in 2008, Eastman’s copolyester manufacturing capacity will have increased by more than 40% from 2005 levels,” the company says.
