Composites Suppliers Hike Resin and Gelcoat Prices

Several resin and gelcoat suppliers to the composites industry have announced price increases, citing recent cost hikes in raw materials including benzene. Scott Bader (Wollaston, U.K.) has announced a €100/m.t. increase on certain unsaturated polyester, dicyclopentadiene, and vinyl ester resin prices, as well as gelcoats and certain structural adhesives for all deliveries from its European sites, effective May 7.
