Celanese to expand its long-fiber-reinforced thermoplastic production in Brazil

Celanese will expand its manufacturing facilities at Suzano, Brazil, to include long-fiber-reinforced thermoplastics (LFRT) production, the company announced today. The new capacity is expected to be operational by mid-2015. Celanese already compounds polyacetals and polybutylene terephthalates (themoplastic polyester) at the site, Celanese adds. Celanese has not disclosed existing capacities at the site or of that of the expansion. Financial details for the project have also not been given.
