U.S. Group Sues FDA Over Bisphenol A

The Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC; Washington) has filed a lawsuit to compel the U.S. FDA to act on NRDC’s October 2008 petition seeking to compel FDA to restrict bisphenol a (BPA). The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, says FDA has failed to comply with its own rules that required a response to the petition within 180 days.
