Sabic and Sinopec to Build Polycarbonate Plant in China

Al Mady: Requires investment of over $1 billion. Sabic has signed a memorandum of understanding with Sinopec to build jointly a polycarbonate (PC) plant at Tianjin, China. The new plant will form part of Sinopec Sabic Tianjin Petrochemical Co. (SSTPC), a 50-50 joint venture between Sabic and Sinopec at Tianjin. Sabic announced the PC project at the Chinaplas 2011 show, held earlier this month at Guangzhou, China.
