California Assembly Rejects Two Bills Banning Chemicals

California’s Assembly rejected one bill that would ban bisphenol a (BPA) in products intended for children under the age of three, and another bill that would ban perfluorinated compounds (PFCs) in food packaging materials. However, Assembly lawmakers left the door open for the bills to be taken up for reconsideration today or later this week, sources say.
