Markets :: Engineering Plastics :: Polyacetal Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Expands Polyacetal Capacity in Thailand2:13 AM MDT | June 6, 2011 | Natasha Alperowicz Mitsubishi Gas Chemical (MGC: Tokyo) will carry out a major expansion of polyacetal engineering plastic capacity at its Thai Polyacetal joint venture at Map Ta Phut, Thailand. The company, onwed 70% by MGC and 30% by the local Toa Dove Chemical, is expanding the plant in two phases. It is currently debottlenecking the existing 55,000 m.t./year plant to 60,000 m.t./year. The second phase involves the construction of a 40,000 m.t./year polyacetal facility, which will raise the total at the site to 100,000 m.t./year. Both projects are expected on line in 2013. MGC...
