The program is designed “to help these businesses adapt to changes in the nylon market, which is expanding rapidly in Eastern Europe, Latin America, and Asia but is experiencing slower growth in Western Europe,” Rhodia says. The program involves closing Rhodia’s Ceriano, Italy nylon manufacturing facility by mid-2009 with the possible loss of 212 jobs, and increasing capacity at the company’s Belle Étoile facility at Lyon, France and at its Gorzow, Poland...
