A total of 9.66 million light vehicles were assembled in the U.S. and Canada during 2010, the report says. This represents the equivalent of $37.8 billion worth of chemicals. The value of chemicals in light vehicles increased by 51.4% from $21.0 billion in 2009 as the number of light vehicle units assembled grew 37.6% from 7.02 million.
