Protesters storm Formosa nylon-6 plant in Vietnam

Anti-China protesters broke into the nylon-6 production site of Formosa Chemicals & Fibre Corp., a subsidiary of Formosa Plastics Group (Taipei), at Nhon Trach, Dong Nai Province, Vietnam, yesterday, injuring one Taiwanese employee and causing widespread damage, according to a report by Taipei Times. Formosa has halted operations at the plant and is assessing the damage, the report says. The protests were triggered by China's decision to establish an oil rig in the South China Sea off the Vietnamese coast that is disputed between China and Vietnam...
