K2010: Evonik Commits to Polymers with €1.6-Billion Investment

Evonik Industries says it will invest €1.6 billion over five years to grow its performance polymers and plastics additives business by an average of 5%/year, to reach €2.7 billion in 2015. Evonik´s sales of performance and plastic additives reached €2 billion last year, of which additives accounted for 40% and performance polymers 60%. The company outlined the plans today at the K2010 plastics exhibition in Dusseldorf.
