K 2013: DSM develops special grade of nylon for LED applications

DSM has developed a special grade of its high-performance nylon-4T, for one of the first-ever integrated plastic holders for a light-emitting diode (LED) array, the company announced today at the K 2013 plastics fair being held in Düsseldorf. The application is based on the use of the company's Stanyl ForTii- branded line, and brings to the market an easy-to-assemble, halogen-free, lower-cost LED, DSM says.
