Markets :: Engineering Plastics :: Nylon BASF to Expand Capacity for Cyclohexane at Antwerp10:18 AM MDT | March 14, 2012 | Sotirios Frantzanas BASF says it will expand cyclohexane oxidation capacity at its Antwerp Verbund site by about 50,000 m.t./year. The total amount of the investment will be approximately €10 million ($13 million), the company says. The expansion will take place during two long-term planned turnarounds, and is expected to be completed by the end of 2014, the company says. The total capacity for cyclohexane oxidation at BASF's Antwerp Verbund site was not disclosed.
