PPG Begins Opticor Plastic Production at Sylmar, CA

PPG says it has begun full-scale commercial production of its advanced transparency material known as Opticor at its Sylmar, CA facility. The company recently transferred pilot operations from PPG’s glass business center near Pittsburgh to Sylmar in order to expand production of the high-performance plastic for lightweight aircraft windows.
