Styrolution completes SAN capacity expansion at site in India

Styrolution (Frankfurt), a joint venture between BASF and Ineos, has inaugurated a line for the high-performance styrenic specialty product Absolan at the jv's Katol, India, site, the jv has announced. Absolan is the brand name in India for Styrolution's styrene acrylonitrile (SAN) copolymer, a product commonly used in applications such as household appliances, stationery, cosmetic packaging, and general injection molding. Absolan is also used in acrylonitrile butadiene styrene compounding.
