OPEC members agree to cut crude production by 1.2 million bbl/day

OPEC Wednesday began its summit in Vienna, Austria, by agreeing to its first cut in crude oil production since 2008. Beginning in January, OPEC is set to scale back production to 32.5 million bbl/day, according to Mohammed bin Saleh Al-Sada, president of the conference.  The cutback of 1.2 million bbl/day, or about 1% of total global oil production, represents the lower end of the spectrum discussed by the group earlier this year in Algiers....
