Vinyls Italia Restart May not Be Until January

Production at troubled polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and vinyl chloride monomer producer Vinyls Italia (Porto Marghera, Italy) may not restart before the beginning of next year. The company idled its plants in northeastern Italy and Sardinia in early summer. Vinyls Italia is in special administration and has been run by three government-appointed commissars since its previous owner Fiorenzo Sartor put the company into liquidation in April.
