Swiss Bid for Vinyls Italia Receives Government Green Light

Italy’s minister for economic development, Paolo Romani, says he is satisfied with a bid made by investment fund Gita (Zurich) for Vinyls Italia, the manufacturer of polyvinyl chloride and vinyl chloride monomer that is currently in special administration. He told workers yesterday at Vinyls Italia’s operation at Porto Torres, Sardinia that Gita is “dependable" and that "we can restart with them.” However, he shed no light on who is behind Gita.
