In mid-July, a major power failure at the company’s Rafnes, Norway facility disrupted ethylene and VCM supply. The company also encountered production problems at its Schkopau, Germany PVC facility and force majeure had to be declared on all grades of S-PVC produced at Aycliffe, U.K., Schkopau and Wilhelmshaven, Germany, Porsgrunn, Norway, and Stenungsund, Sweden.
