Wacker Chemie Sees no End to the Economic Downturn

Wacker Chemie says there is a lack of visibility in its markets due to the global economic crisis. "We don't know how long the crisis will last," said Rudolf Staudigl, president and CEO of Wacker, at a presentation held today in Munich. "But we do know that Wacker won't be repeating 2008's sales and earnings achievements this year. At the moment, it is still not possible to forecast reliably the decline's true extent.
