Sipchem Starts up Huge CO Plant at Al Jubail

Saudi International Petrochemical Co. (Sipchem; Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia) has started initial operation at its carbon monoxide (CO) plant at Al Jubail. The unit, designed to produce 345,000 m.t./year of CO, is the world's largest such facility. It forms part of Sipchem's acetyl's complex, the second phase of the company's development program.
