BP put the business up for sale last year. The deal comprises ethyl acetate and VAM plants at Hull, U.K., each with capacity for 250,000 m.t./year, as well as an ethylene pipeline connecting the Hull complex to an olefins plant at Wilton, U.K. “The addition of these facilities broadens the Ineos portfolio of oxygenated solvents and helps us to meet growing demand for both products,” says Ineos chairman Jim Ratcliffe.
