Taiyo Oil selects Honeywell's UOP to improve operational flexibility at aromatics plant

Taiyo Oil (Tokyo) selected Honeywell's UOP subsidiary to supply technology and catalysts to improve operational flexibility and production at Taiyo's Shikoku aromatics plant at Ehime, Japan, Honeywell announced. UOP Tatoray process technology will be installed to boost yields of certain petrochemicals by more than 70%, and give the plant more flexibility to produce petrochemicals or gasoline as demand changes, the company says.
