PTA Plant Starts up in China

Aker Kvaerner says it has completed a 600,000-m.t./year purified terephthalic acid (PTA) plant at Shaoxing, China for Zhejiang Hualian Sunshine Petrochemical Co. (Zhejiang, China). Aker Kvaerner says it provided engineering design, and supplied the offshore material and equipment, as well as site advisory services. The plant is based on Invista technology.
