La Seda Breaks Ground on Portuguese PTA Plant

La Seda de Barcelona has started construction on a previously announced project to build a 700,000-m.t./year purified terephthalic acid (PTA) plant at Sines, Portugal. Portuguese prime minister José Sócrates laid the first stone for the project at a ceremony earlier this month.
