Indorama to mothball PET plant in the UK

Indorama Ventures (Bangkok) has decided to mothball the polyethylene terephthalate (PET) plant of the company's Indorama Polymers subsidiary at Workington, UK as part of a business improvement plan and restructuring of the company's European businesses, the company announced. "The Workington site may be operated again in two years’ time subject to market conditions," the company says. The mothballing will be effective no later than 31 March 2014. The decision will not have any material effect on Indorama's performance and customers will be served...
