Styron to Change Name to Trinseo

Styron will change its name to Trinseo later this year. Private Equity firm Bain Capital (Boston) bought Styron from Dow Chemical in June 2010 for $1.63 billion. Styron product lines include styrene-butadiene latex, styrene-butadiene rubber, polycarbonate, acrylonitrile butadiene styrene/styrene acrylonitrile resins, expandable polystyrene, polystyrene and styrene monomer units.   The name change will be fully effective in all countries later in 2011, Styron says.
