BASF to Build SB Latex Unit at Chinese Site

BASF plans to construct a styrene butadiene (SB) latex plant at the Dayawan petrochemicals park near Daya Bay, Huizhou, China. The company has signed a heads of agreement with CSPC, an equally owned joint venture between China National Offshore Oil Corp. and Shell Chemicals that operates a petchems complex at Daya Bay, to source styrene and butadiene from CSPC.
