Evonik and Gujarat Alkalies Link in HPPO Project in India

Evonik Industries and Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals (Vadodara, India) have signed a memorandum of understanding to develop a multimillion-dollar hydrogen peroxide-propylene oxide (HPPO)  manufacturing project at Dahej, India. Under the terms of the agreement, which is yet to be approved by the executive and supervisory boards of Evonik, Evonik will build own and operate the hydrogen peroxide facility while Gujarat Alkalies will be responsible for the propylene oxide (PO) unit.
