Dow Eyes Opportunity to Build PO Capacity in Asia

Dow Chemical is “aggressively” looking for opportunity in Asia to build propylene oxide (PO) capacity, says Mady Bricco, global product director/PO and propylene glycol (PG) at Dow. The company is considering investing in PO capacity using propylene from its joint venture cracker at Map Ta Phut, Thailand with Cementhai, and will decide “in the next few months,” Bricco says.
