Dow will use propylene oxide, sourced from a hydrogen peroxide-to-propylene oxide plant at Antwerp, Belgium in a joint venture with BASF, as feedstock for the additional polyols capacity. Polyols produced at Terneuzen will be used to make polyurethane products and will be sold into the European, African, Indian and Mideast markets, Dow says. “We anticipate increased demand for polyols as the global economy recovers,” says Guillermo Novo...
