Huntsman Signs PO-MTBE License Agreement with Chinese Company

Huntsman Corp. says it has signed a license agreement with chemicals manufacturer Yantai Wanhua Polyurethanes (Yantai, China), for the production of propylene oxide (PO) and methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE). Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. Yantai Wanhua is an affiliate of Wanhua Industrial Group (Yantai), which acquired BorsodChem (Kazincbarcika, Hungary) earlier this year.
