UOP technology selected for propylene project in China

UOP, a Honeywell subsidiary, says that Guangdong Peng Zun Energy Development Co., a Chinese petrochemical producer, has selected the UOP C3 Oleflex process technology to convert propane to propylene. Guangdong Peng Zun will install the technology at its facility in the Donghai Island Port Chemical Industrial Zone at Zhanjiang, China, where it will produce 450,000 m.t./year of propylene starting in 2016.
