Technical problems lead to shutdown of Al Waha's propylene and PP complex in Saudi Arabia

Sahara Petrochemicals (Riyadh) announced on Sunday that its subsidiary Al Waha Petrochemicals experienced a technical fault in its utilities unit, which led to an interruption of production in all the company’s operating units. Al Waha, a joint venture in which Sahara holds 75% and LyondellBasell 25%, operates propane dehydrogenation (PDH) and polypropylene (PP) plants at Al Jubail.
