Orpic Awards Sohar Expansion Contract to UOP and Foster Wheeler

Oman Oil Refineries and Petroleum Industries Co., (Orpic; Muscat), the recently merged group of Oman’s Oman Refineries and Petrochemicals, Aromatics Oman, and Oman Polypropylene, is going ahead with previously announced plans to revamp and expand its Sohar refinery. The company has selected UOP and Foster Wheeler technology to help process heavy oil and expand fuel and petrochemicals production at the refinery.
