Honeywell's UOP methanol-to-olefin technology licensed in China

Honeywell’s UOP unit has licensed its methanol-to-olefin (MTO) to Jiangsu Sailboat Petrochemical (Jiangsu, China) for a project in Lianyungang, in China's Jiangsu Province. Jiangsu Sailboat’s unit is expected to be the largest single-train MTO unit in the world, producing 833,000 m.t./year of ethylene and propylene, the company says.
