Enterprise Products to Merge With Enterprise Holdings in $8-Billion Deal

Enterprise Products Partners (Houston) says it will merge with its wholly owned subsidiary Enterprise GP Holdings in a $8-million deal designed to reduce the company’s capital costs and simplify its operating structure. Enterprise GP owns the general partner of, and limited partner interests in, Enterprise Products, which operates one of the largest pipeline networks in the U.S. The company has about 49,100 miles of pipelines for crude oil, natural gas liquids, and petrochemicals.
