Markets :: Basic Chemicals :: Petrochemicals :: Propylene Dow Selects Honeywell Technology for New PDH Unit12:04 PM MST | January 5, 2012 | Lindsey Bewley Dow Chemical says it has selected Honeywell to provide technology for its recently announced propane dehydrogenation unit (PDH) at Freeport, TX. Dow says the PDH unit will have the capacity to produce about 750,000 m.t./year of polymer-grade propylene. Honeywell will use its UOP C3 Oleflex technology to convert shale gas-derived propane to propylene. The unit is scheduled to start up in 2015, Dow says.
