Braskem Acquires Marcus Hook Propylene Splitter to Support its PP Business

Braskem, the leading polypropylene (PP) producer in the U.S., said Monday that it has acquired the propylene splitter assets at Sunoco's former refinery at Marcus Hook, PA, as well as securing feedstock supplies from multiple sources which ensure continuing operations at the site. Braskem, as part of the agreement, will process propylene in the splitter for use in its adjacent PP plant.
