Markets :: Basic Chemicals :: Petrochemicals :: Propylene Al Waha Propane Dehydro Plant Offline Due to Technical Problems6:42 AM MST | January 6, 2011 | Natasha Alperowicz Sahara Petrochemicals says its Jubail, Saudi Arabia based propane dehydrogenation plant is offline and should re-start at the end of the first quarter of this year. The plant, operated by Al Waha, a joint venture in which Sahara has 75% and LyondellBasell 25%, was taken offline following a rupture in an underground water pipe and a breakdown in one of the propane dehydro unit's pumping devices. Sahara says that it will need to import some spare parts to rectify the fault. Performance tests will follow and the plant should be back online at the end of the first...
