IG Petrochemicals Ups Phthalic Anhydride Capacity

IG Petrochemicals (Mumbai) says it has received a $35-million financial package from the Netherlands Development Finance Co. (The Hague) toward a project to raise phthalic anhydride capacity at Taloja, India. The company will add a third 50,000-m.t./year phthalic anhydride line, which will raise its total to 160,000 m.t./year by the first quarter of 2010, Umang Dhanuka, head of marketing at IG, tells CW.
