Belgian Firm Puts PA Unit up for Sale

Proviron (Ostend, Belgium) says it plans to divest all or part of its phthalic anhydride (PA) and phthalates business at Ostend. The decision “is part of Proviron’s strategy to reposition toward functional chemicals,” the company says. The Ostend PA plant has a capacity of 105,000 m.t./year.
