UOP Selected for PetroChina Project

UOP says it has been selected by PetroChina Sichuan Petrochemical, a subsidiary of PetroChina, to supply technology, basic engineering services, and equipment for an integrated refining and petrochemical complex near Chengdu, China. The petchem portion of the complex will produce 600,000 m.t./year of para-xylene using the UOP Parex process, UOP says. The plant will also produce more than 350,000 m.t./year of benzene.
