UOP Lands Contract to Design Aromatics Plant in China

UOP says it has been selected by PetroChina to supply technology, basic engineering services, and equipment for an aromatics complex at PetroChina’s refining and petrochemical site at Urumqi, China. Basic engineering design is under way, and commissioning of the complex is scheduled for early 2009, UOP says.
