Tatneft Advances Refinery, Aromatics Project in Russia

Tatneft (Almetyevsk, Russia) says it is proceeding with previously announced plans to build an oil refinery and a petrochemical complex at Nizhnekamsk, Russia. The company has awarded an engineering services contract to a consortium led by Maire Tecnimont and including GS Engineering & Construction (Seoul) for the first phase of the project, which will include the construction of a 7-million m.t./year oil refinery and an aromatics complex.
